1. Information We Access and How We Use It

provide our core features as your default messaging application, we
require specific Android device permissions. We only access data
strictly necessary for the App to function:
SMS & MMS Data (READ_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS, SEND_SMS, RECEIVE_MMS, RECEIVE_WAP_PUSH):
Purpose:
Because SMS Messenges: Text, SMS & MMS is designed to act as your
device's default SMS handler, we require access to your SMS and MMS
records. This allows you to send, receive, read, and manage your text
and multimedia messages directly within the App.
Data Handling:
Your messages are processed locally on your device. We do not upload,
read, or store your message content on our own remote servers.
Location Data (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION):
Purpose: We request precise and approximate location access solely to enable the "Location Sharing" feature within your chats.
Data
Handling: Your location is only accessed when you actively choose to
attach and share your location in a conversation. It is transmitted
directly to your recipient.
Microphone Access (RECORD_AUDIO):
Purpose: We request microphone access to allow you to record and send voice notes to your contacts.
Data Handling: Audio is only recorded when you manually press and hold the record button within a chat interface.
Contacts Data (READ_CONTACTS):
Purpose:
We access your device's address book to display names and photos
alongside your message threads, allowing you to easily identify who you
are texting and to initiate new conversations.
Data Handling:
Contact data remains on your device and is not uploaded to external
servers or shared with third parties by the App.
Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE):
Purpose:
This permission is required to manage network connectivity for SMS/MMS
transmission and to handle incoming phone calls gracefully while you are
actively using the App (for example, interrupting an audio recording if
a call comes in).
Device Operations (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, VIBRATE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, INTERNET):
Purpose:
These are utilized locally to alert you of incoming messages, sync data
in the background smoothly, provide haptic feedback, and facilitate MMS
media downloading over your network.
2. Third-Party Services and Libraries
SMS
Messenges: Text, SMS & MMS relies on standard Android architecture
components to function properly. We do not integrate third-party
advertising networks, external data brokers, or behavioral analytics
trackers.
The App utilizes the following Google Play Services strictly to facilitate core features:
Google
Play Services (Location & Maps): Used exclusively to render map
interfaces and fetch your coordinates when you utilize the in-app
location sharing tool.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do
not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information,
contact lists, or message data to outside parties. All core messaging
functionality operates device-to-device through your cellular carrier's
network.
4. Data Security
We implement the standard security
measures inherent to the Android operating system to maintain the safety
of your personal information. Because the App operates locally as a
client for your cellular network, the security and encryption of your
message transmission are governed by your mobile network provider.
5. Data Retention and User Control
Because
SMS Messenges: Text, SMS & MMS processes your messages and contacts
locally, we do not retain your personal data on any developer servers.
You maintain full control over your data at all times. You can delete
individual messages, entire conversation threads, or revoke the App's
permissions directly from your device's system settings at any time.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We
may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in
our app features or Google Play policies. We will notify you of any
changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and,
if required by platform rules, requesting renewed consent within the
App.
